One week ago today my dad went in to surgery, and it has been quite the hectic week. I've been busy winding down the spring semester with preparations for finals, presentations, and helping my mom at home with my dad while he recovers. He's had a rough time, but I think he's coming along well enough. I sort of feel sorry for him because he's the busybody type who hates to sit still.
Anyway, the week has been long. Needless to say, I'm glad things are winding down. On the plus side this week of school is the last week before finals week, which should be easy enough. I do need to figure out when my other finals are since I lost the paper I wrote them down on.
On a different note, after my last class today I'm heading down to one of the two diners that are in my town. Why? I'm going because they're hiring! I've been trying so hard to find a job for ages now, and although it might be as a dishwasher and rumored to be less than minimum wage, I think I can handle that. I'm really hoping that I get it, but I sort of have mixed feelings about it. Oh well, if I get the job then I'll handle it the best I can when the time comes.
So I guess that's it for now. I know it's a lot less than five hundred words, but my mom put fake nails on my fingers last night and I am having the hardest time typing. I have no idea how every other woman and girl can put up with these thing! Goodness they're going to be the end of me. Anyway, I'll talk to you guys next week or later on this week!
